 PROCEDURE TEXT MEANING :

“Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps. (Inform readers to do something)

PURPOSE :

“The purpose of procedure text is to tell the reader how to do something step by step.

GENERIC STRUCTURE :

Goal: provides information about the aims and objectives of the procedure and predicts a conclusion. 

Materials: contains a list of materials or materials needed to perform a procedure or steps. 

Steps: lists the sequence of instructions / activities to reach the goal in the correct sequence of steps. 

Result: The result of a series of steps that have been taken.

CHARACTERISTIC :

Usually Using the Simple Present Tense with the formula (S + V1) 

Imperative / command form, Using the verbs action, for example: make, take, boil, cook, 

Using temporal conjunctions, for example: First, then, next, after that, last 

Using conjunctions (conjunctions) to sequence activities, for example then, while, etc. 

Use adverbs (adverbs) to state details of time, place, accurate method, for example for five minutes, 2 hours, etc. 

Using adverbs (adverbs) to express a stage or sequence, for example the first, the second, the third, the last, etc.
